Dear Anne
Thank you for your email. Over the last few weeks I have been meeting local residents, whilst doorknocking the local area, including Notting Hill.
Many people have raised similar concerns to the ones raised by you such as the loss of public open space and the over development of housing in the local area.
As a local resident, I fully understand the impact this has on the community, and I have publicly stated that I do not support the selling of any more public land, whether it be parks or gardens.
Further, I want to keep open and upgrade community facilities, such as libraries, childcare services, parks, and sporting clubs, which are vital to the strength and health of our community.
I also want to see a responsible management of town planning andĀ building approvals, making sure that any developments are in character with the local neighbourhood and street. This will ensure that we do not have situationswhereby our streets are full of cars and unsafe for children to play. We need to put the interests of local residents ahead of developers and overzealous development proposals.
I am determined to deliver value for money to ratepayers, and I will certainly take into consideration your concerns.
Thanks again for your email.
Kind regards
Raff Ciccone
